New metrics added this year include food insecurity rate, mortality rates related to flu, pneumonia, COVID-19, and the gender wage gap.
Rhode Island, Iowa, and New Hampshire had the highest average community scores, while Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas had the lowest.
