As a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist (CHRS), I identify insurance strategies within the confines of the Affordable Care Act that help you – and your employees – succeed.
I had the honor of serving as President of the San Diego Association of Health Underwriters (SDAHU).
During this time I met with senators and congress members in D.C. and Sacramento as well as San Diego leaders to discuss the current and future state of healthcare.
These experiences sparked my passion for the politics of healthcare. Now I pass this insight along to my clients.
Preparation determines success. And when my clients know what's coming, they’re able to meet every deadline and requirement with confidence.
Going above and beyond
In 2017, I was recognized for my work in the health insurance business market with the prestigious Neil R. Crosby Achievement in Excellence Award.
This honor is reserved for those who exemplify service and dedication, which I’m proud to say are the hallmarks of Hammett Health.
Born and raised in San Diego, I’m a graduate of SDSU, where I played football (Go Aztecs!). My dad also played at SDSU under the legendary Don “Air” Coryell.
I began my career at Blue Shield of CA as Regional Sales Manager and then as National Sales Manager at HMG Benefits, helping brokers secure health insurance for employers with lower-income employees.
A few more things about me: I love San Diego State Athletics and am obsessed with shoes – retro Air Jordans to be precise. I’ve owned just under 500 pairs; but not all at once.
When I’m not tracking down the best health plans for my clients, you’ll find me enjoying time with my beautiful wife Kate and our wonderfully blended family.

Bill
Broker/Consultant
As President and Producer, Bill leads our firm with a focus on relationships, thoughtful strategy and doing what’s right for our clients. He works closely with employers to understand their business, their people and their long-term goals, helping shape benefits strategies that provide real value for both the organization and its employees. Bill remains personally involved in key client relationships, strategic decisions and the complex challenges that require an experienced perspective. His leadership sets the tone for our entire team: be responsive, think ahead, solve problems and always make our clients feel like a priority.
Araceli (Se Habla Espanol)
Account Manager
As an Account Manager, Araceli is at the heart of our client relationships, serving as a trusted partner and advocate throughout the year. She works closely with each client to understand their needs, guide them through renewals and open enrollment, and keep important timelines and decisions on track. When more complex benefit questions, claims or carrier issues arise, Araceli is there to help navigate the process, find solutions and make sure our clients feel supported. By coordinating the many moving pieces behind a benefits program and keeping communication clear and proactive, she helps give employers confidence that their benefits—and their people—are in good hands.
Anastasia
Account Support/Technology Manager
As our Account Support & Technology Manager, Anastasia helps bring the benefits experience to life for our clients and their employees. She works closely with our Account Management team to make benefits easier to understand, access and navigate—from open enrollment and employee education to ongoing communications and everyday support. Anastasia also helps ensure the technology behind each client’s benefits program runs smoothly, while creating thoughtful, engaging communications that keep employees informed and connected. With a strong eye for detail, consistency and the client experience, she helps turn what can often feel complicated into something clear, approachable and easy to use.
Angel
Benefits Administrative Assistant
As our Benefits Administrative Assistant, Angel is an important part of the behind-the-scenes support that keeps our clients’ benefits running smoothly. She brings care and attention to the many details that can make benefits feel complicated—from enrollments and coverage changes to employee questions, renewals and carrier follow-up. Working closely with our Account Management team, Angel helps make sure questions are answered, issues are resolved and important details don’t get overlooked. Her goal is simple: to make benefits easier for our clients and ensure their employees feel supported and taken care of along the way.
AJ
Back Office Support
As part of our Back Office Support team, AJ helps ensure the important details behind every client’s benefits program are handled accurately and efficiently. From processing enrollments and coverage changes to coordinating documents, audits, renewals and carrier confirmations, AJ provides the essential support that keeps everything moving behind the scenes. With a focus on organization, accuracy and follow-through, AJ works closely with our service team to make sure the details are taken care of, deadlines are met and our clients can feel confident that their benefits administration is in good hands.
Kate
Operations
Kate’s main role is in the management of the office, technology and HR needs. Kate is mostly behind the scenes, but just like the rest of us, always available to help should you need anything in the operations realm.
